The Most Dangerous Household Pests

18955826_SThere are many different types of insects and rodents that can infest your home, but fortunately most of them are harmless. While some types of pests may damage your property, they won’t actually harm you or anyone else living in your house. On the other hand, there are a few types of pests that pose a more serious threat. We’re here to run down some of the worst types of pests, and to remind you that we’re here to get rid of them for you!

When it comes to spiders, most of them look scarier than they actually are. In many cases, spiders prey on other unwanted pests, making them something you shouldn’t mind having around outside of your home. But, there are a few species of spiders like the Black Widow and Brown Recluse that possess dangerous venom which can harm people. A bite from one of these spiders can even be life threatening.

Mosquitos can also be deadly or harmless depending on what diseases they are carrying. While most mosquito bites are a minor annoyance, they can become a serious problem if the insect transmitted a virus like West Nile into your body.

Finally, rats are known for their disease carrying nature, and that’s not they have been known to bite people if agitated. If you see rats in your home, don’t wait around to take care of the problem.

At Blue Ridge Termite & Pest Management Group, we want to ensure each and every one of our customers is safe from pests, no matter how dangerous they are. If you have a pest problem, give us a call today to find out how we can help!

It’s a little crazy that these pests can be very hazardous. Rats and spiders are the two types of pest that I would hate to infest my home. They are both creepy things.
